STAY INDOORS! RESIDENCY CALLOUT

APPLICATIONS CURRENTLY OPEN

Outer Space is delighted to announce our new remote Residency Program, Stay Indoors! From August - October, 2020 six Queensland-based artists will complete a one month at-home/in-situ self-directed residency supported by Outer Space. 

Applications close 12 July 2020.

 

Successful applicants receive:

  • $2020 artist fee

  • Digital promotion via Outer Space’s website, email list and social media platforms

  • Consultation and feedback on work in development

  • Inclusion in Outer Space’s Engagement Program

  • The opportunity to present work  at end of residency (platform decided in conversation with Outer Space)

 

To apply please provide the following:​​

  • A maximum 500 word proposal of your one-month residency plan, clearly outlining how and why this residency will benefit you

  • BIO

  • CV

  • 10 clearly labelled images of previous and/or indicative work

  • Preferred month/s August - October

Applications will be assessed by Outer Space's Programming Committee and will use the following criteria as a guide:

  • The quality of the applicant’s work

  • The impact of this activity on the applicant’s current circumstances

  • Potential for this opportunity to develop the artist’s practice

  • Diversity in Outer Space programming
